The Romanian Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment met yesterday with the president of Gazprom, Aleksei Miller, and other management members of the Russian energy giant.During the discussion, Miller announced that Gazprom is looking to sign direct contracts with the Romanian authorities on natural gas imports, removing intermediaries.
Gazprom is also looking to invest in Romanian electricity plants that will be gas-fed. Furthermore, the Russian company is also considering investment in underground natural gas deposit facilities.
Transgaz and Romgaz will join Gazprom in exploration, exploitation and gas transportation activities on third markets.
